This paper reports findings from a collaboration of researchers in the UK and Australia of a relatively new material which has potential in blast protection. Little experimental dynamic data was available for this material and no models of its behavior at high strain rates existed. The paper reported the first comprehensive set of dynamic data for this material; revealed also that some of the existing models for strain rate effects in conventional concrete materials may be applied to this material.
