<28>A reviewer’s comment on this cross-disciplinary paper was : “This is the most innovative and interesting paper I’ve seen for a long time. It is also exceptionally well written presenting a clever and complex approach perfectly clearly”. We are currently applying this approach to the reconstruction of song sparrow pedigrees in collaboration with Pirmin Nietlisbach from U. Zurich who visited us for a week. This paper helped Cussens and Sheehan win GBP 20K funding for an ICMS workshop on ”Statistical and computational methods for relatedness and relationship inference from genetic marker data” to be held in Sept 2014.
