Additional information
<23>The first method for 3D morphable model fitting that allows for both arbitrary illumination and non-Lambertian reflectance. Evaluated against publicly available results from the state of the art algorithm on both synthetic data and recognition using CMU PIE dataset with a single gallery image. Early version of work appeared in BMVC 2010 (acceptance rate 31%). This strongly influenced groups at University of Louisville and Tsinghua who have implemented and heavily built on our method. This work was supported by an EPSRC first grant (EP/F036949/1) and was pivotal in obtaining a follow-on £119k research grant from DSTL (DSTLX1000070369).
