Additional information

<07>This describes the CARMEN virtual laboratory. This unique internet based system allows users to upload and share both data and software. It is the output of one of the UK's main eScience pilot projects and lead to significant follow on funding with BBSRC and HEFCE. CARMEN has had a high impact: it now supports over 350 international neuroscience users and is commercialised for use in condition monitoring of large assets by Cybula Ltd. (verifiable by Mr John McAvoy, business director, mcavoy@cybula.com).
