<20>Originality: The paper develops a questionnaire specifically for evaluating immersive experience in digital games and was one of the first measures of gaming experience to be publically available. Rigour: the development of the questionnaire is rooted in earlier work experimental and qualitative work and unlike other questionnaires developed in HCI, was validated through application in a further experiment. Significance: this paper is the second most cited article in the journal for articles published since 2008 and is widely cited in relation to any work on measuring the experience of digital games.
