Additional information
<22>First to propose the general applicability of GP to existing code improvement; now a vibrant area (see below). A significant extension of the highly influential 2008 conference paper "Multi-Objective Improvement of Software using Co-evolution and Smart Seeding", this paper influenced Weimer et al.’s award-winning work on bug-fixing, the GISMO EPSRC project, and Langdon's work on porting existing software and improving execution time, amongst others. Work formed a component of White's PhD thesis, nominated for BCS Distinguished Dissertation.
