Double-weighted statement

Wessex is one of the most famous regions in European prehistory and this study represents the first comprehensive review of the later prehistory of the region for over thirty years. This 383 page monograph is the product of a sustained period of research lasting over a decade that involved a Leverhulme funded sabbatical. It is based on a survey of the published literature, an analysis of unpublished reports from a variety of sources, a detailed knowledge of the field evidence and the application of contemporary theoretical approaches. It represents a significant contribution to a theoretically informed prehistory of Europe.
