Additional information

This paper addresses construction industry practices. This paper helps main contractors in improving the relationships with subcontractors during procurement and construction stage of construction projects. Despite government initiatives for improving the construction industry’s performance and emphasis on integration of processes and building close relationships across companies, little progress has been made especially further down the supply chain. Through the study of current construction practices and identification and analysis of factors affecting the relationships between the main contractor (MC) and subcontractors (SC), this paper supports construction practitioners in managing the MC/SC interface better for successful completion of the projects.
