Additional information

From a project that grew out of an EPSRC Portfolio grant (£3M) to understand the factors that control the electronic properties of individual ZnO nanowires, hitherto unknown. This paper successfully demonstrated fundamental limit on the control of the nanowire electronic properties. This work will be presented at MRS fall 2013 and has led to a new research direction based on sensor development in healthcare in collaboration with Pulse Medical Technologies. The author made a substantial contribution to the conception and design of the study, the organisation of the study and to the development of the theoretical model.
