Additional information

This is the first book to engage directly with transnational Asian film cultures. Hunt and Leung put out a call for papers, selected the essays from the abstracts submitted, and organised them into a structure for the collection. Essays were selected on the basis of their originality and rigour. Each co-editor took responsibility for editing two of the four sections. The introduction was divided in two, Hunt writing an initial draft of the opening section, covering methodology and terminology (‘Asia’, the ‘transnational’), and each editor writing the overview of their two sections. Hunt and Leung each edited the other's contribution.
