Experimental Characterization of UWB On-Body Radio Channel in Indoor Environment Considering Different Antennas
Well cited work contributes to Birmingham University and QMUL's flagship status for body-centric wireless communication research worldwide with 9-years continuous EPSRC funding, current project 'PATRICIAN' (EP/I009019/1, £390k, 2011-2014) researching millimetre wave on-body communications. Work attracted over £2M funding for QMUL. Book "Antennas and Propagation for Body Centric Wireless Communications" editors Hall (Birmingham) and Hao (QMUL) is highly cited seminal text (now second edition, 2012). QMUL organises bi-annual course for 'European School of Antennas' on body centric communications, and IEEE Transactions AP Special Issue in 2009. Exploitation via co-author Palikaras now founder and CEO of microwave medical instrument start-up 'Mediwise', (www.mediwise.co.uk).
