Additional information

Performed as preliminary work for the collaboration with flavours company Givaudan, this was the first published result detailing the use of surfactants as an analytical tool in diffusion-ordered NMR spectroscopy experiments.

Within the original group, this preliminary work was used by the PI as the basis of a successful EPSRC grant proposal for £330k (EP/H024336/1) and a number of related papers have subsequently been published both quantifying the original phenomena (DOI: 10.1002/mrc.3822) and extending the technique to use on a range of different mixtures, including natural products (e.g. DOIs: 10.1021/np2005264, 10.1039/c1ob06097j).
