Double-weighted statement

This monograph is grounded in years of extensive research into a very wide range of sources drawn from classical, medieval, early-modern and present-day Western thinking, including forgotten or unpublished archival sources (e.g. Comenius, and unpublished work of Fuller's) and offers new interpretations of the thought of figures such as Hobbes, Augustine and Aquinas. The book systematically analyses the way in which the ideas of these and other philosophers in the western tradition have shaped modern legal, political and ethical thinking, and it offers an extensive first-order enquiry into legal and political order.
