Additional information

This work proposes a practical testbed for the investigation of electromagnetic wave propagation and radiation in the vicinity of high dielectric contrast, and high dimensional contrast, layered structures. This is relevant to electromagnetics near, or immersed in, water and biological tissue, but also as a scale model of propagation on integrated circuits. These results were further explored through participation in the EU "AMICOM" Network of Excellence on RF MEMS, which partly funded this work.
