Additional information

The contribution to the work presented in this manuscript led to funding by the Leverhulme trust (RPG 254: Tim Nolan: grants@leverhulme.ac.uk) of £192k to further investigate novel functional material systems. A further outcome of this work is that Dunn was invited to act as Session Chair at the European Meeting on Ferroelectricity (EMF, Bordeaux, 2011). Dissemination of the work has included presentations at MRS Spring 2011. The work provided strong evidence that was used in the arguments presented in the thesis for Joe Briscoe (PhD graduate 2011).
