Additional information

This novel design process that sought to uncover the potential for improved system performance if design was not broken into separate sub-system problems was applied to a prototype car for Morgan which was launched at the Geneva Motor Show 2008 (www.carmagazine.co.uk/News/Search-Results/First-Official-Pictures/Morgan-LIFECar/). Based on the novel process, the vehicle was modelled as achieving 178 mpg (equivalent) while still being a genuine sports car (reference Mr Charles Morgan, CEO, ID_in_audit_file@morgan-motor.co.uk ). Insights have since been used by the author to support other projects including design of a 280 mpg vehicle (reference Mr Spowers, CEO, ID_in_audit_file@riversimple.com).
