The methodology described in this paper for capturing the 3-D architecture of stochastic fibrous networks using a microCT system has attracted the interest of Crossrail (http://www.crossrail.co.uk/, contact Jean-Marc Barsam, ID_in_audit_file@crossrail.co.uk). Markaki and Elshafie are currently carrying out investigations as to how the proposed methodology can be implemented for in situ investigation of fibre-reinforced concrete.
