The work led to the funding of 2 research projects from Disney Research: CAPE/COIN3D at GBP68k (RG64368/T2, 1/4/2012) and CAPE/PM at GBP128k (RG64368/T3, 1/10/2012). Huawei Technologies funded a research project on 3D displays of GBP466k (RG69792, 1/12/2012). Chu was invited as the only person from UK to attend the all-invited Display Technology, Perception And Application Incubator Meeting organised by Optical Society of America in Washington DC in 2012. It also led to invited talks at the International Meeting on Information Display 2012, Daegu, S. Korea and the Collaborative Conference on 3D Research 2012, Seoul, S. Korea.
