The high quality assembly process has led to a collaboration project of GBP60k with Finisar (RG63354, March 2011) who are one of the largest telecom switch providers in the world. The sponsor is currently evaluating in detail the assembled LCOS devices. Dr Steve Frisken (ID_in_audit_file@finisar.com), CTO of Finisar, said "The assembly work at Cambridge is contributing to our push to next generation ROADMs for a USD1Bn projected market."
