First demonstration of graphene mode-locked lasers that established a new field of research in graphene non-linear optical devices. Key reference in the field (testimonial Prof Roy Taylor, ID_in_audit_file@imperial.ac.uk). Many plenary, keynote and invited talks in major international conferences (for example Plenary ICORS 2010 Boston; Plenary IEEE photonics 2011, Arlington ). A spin off, Camlase Ltd, was formed to commercialise the results (raised GBP25k from CIKC (RG46495); GBP20k from RG45382; GBP200k from China). A ~GBP506k collaborative project with Nokia (RG61696) ensued.
