Perception-driven facial expression synthesis
<20>The paper is the first to propose a novel platform for generating “valid” and arbitrary emotional facial expression, which can ensure intended messages can be actually perceived as such. It also investigates how dynamic facial expression depends on specific parametric values of facial muscles, which is the first substantial development since the presence of the highly influential FACS article (2490 citations from Google Scholar). Based on this platform, research outcome has been published (eg. two on PNAS, Impact Factor 9.737). The platform is being used by many institutes including Princeton University, Caltech, Geneva University, Madison University, and Montreal University etc.
