<09>Marincic et al (Expert Systems, July 2013) says of Problem Oriented Engineering (POE): ""[it] can be used for justification of design decisions, as a design-rationale-storing tool."" This article describes the application of POE to capture a existing business process in CWTech and to identify a significant business process change which leads to a reduction in rework of unsatisfactory bug fixes. It also demonstrates the maturity of the framework in terms of its engineering currency and its compatibility and value-adding potential within the stringent constraints of everyday professional practice.
