Additional information

I made substantial contributions to the design of the study and to carrying out the study which utilised my extensive collection of DNA samples from TB cases that I had assessed clinically to ensure phenotypic rigour and then personally extracted the DNA. I also set up the cord blood DNA bank in The Gambia and processed many of the DNA samples that were used as control samples for this study. I then critiqued the output for intellectual content.
