A novel application of Model Driven Development is introduced addressing the significant general Software Engineering problem of errors introduced into design processes when high-level design concepts are mapped into lower level language concepts. Its significance is that it addresses the low-level practicalities of model transformations whereas much related work deals with the advantages of the general concept of model transformation. Results underpinned the ICmetric encryption technology (patent GB 06 15392.8, PCT/GB2007/002916) which is being exploited by the university spin out, Metrarc Ltd.
