Double-weighted statement

This book represents the outcome of almost a decade of research. It is built upon the analysis of a very extensive body of evidence, ranging from Latin theological treatises and unpublished notes in manuscripts from a number of archives, to estate surveys and archaeological excavations, drawn from a wide area and stretching over several hundred years. Analysing and comparing historiographical debates in English, French and German, this book also crosses a significant sub-disciplinary divide between early and central medieval history. It is therefore equivalent to at least 2 single outputs.
