Double-weighted statement

This is a 176 page book of approximately 60,000 words. It reports on research undertaken from 2008 to 2010, funded by the ESRC. As co-author, I was responsible for approximately 50% of the text and took the lead on chapters 3, 4 and 5. The book engages critically with the burgeoning literature on new governance and uses network analysis and some 30 interviews with key actors to address changes in this. It presents a new method for researching governance – network ethnography – which allows identification of the increasing participation of philanthropy and business in education policy and service delivery.
