The findings have now been demonstrated in the field under actual conditions within the NIMO FP7 project (GA No. FP7-ENERGY-2008-TREN-239462). Subsequent to this paper Papaelias was invited to give a keynote presentation at the 10th International Conference on Condition Monitoring and Machinery Failure Prevention, held in Krakow, Poland in June 2013. Largely based on this research, Papaelias was also elected Chairman of the Education Committee of the International Society for Condition Monitoring of the British Institute of Non-Destructive Testing in May 2013.
