In 2012 Mark Stein received the iLab prize for innovative scholarship, co-sponsored by the European Academy of Management (EURAM) and the Swiss-based Imagination Foundation Laboratory. The award – a diploma and 12,000 Swiss Francs – was for his stream of scholarship using psychoanalytic ideas in relation to organizations and for this paper in particular, and was presented at the EURAM Annual Conference in Holland.
