Additional information

This work was produced from an EPSRC-funded project “CALEBRE” involving 6 university partners (EP/G000387/1, Loveday, Loughborough University, £2.05m, 2008-2013). It reports a design and manufacturing methodology developed to support the realisation of a new gas heat pump which was prototyped as part of the project by Warwick University (Professor & Head of SEED, Warwick University). It was deployed in the development of heat pump and vacuum glazing prototypes, with test results to EN14511 standard being highly promising (coefficient of performance was over 10 times better than a gas boiler) (Professor of Energy & Director of the Centre for Sustainable Technologies, Ulster University).
