Additional information

This emerged from a multi-institutional collaboration involving Limerick, Trinity College and University College Dublin on bringing new digital methods into design & manufacture of composites. Its success directly led to an in invitation from Limerick (Dr Trevor Young) to join an EU Marie-Curie proposal, HiperComNet, collaborating with TU Delft, supported by Bombardier Aerospace (Keith Campbell) & Fokker (Michel VanToreen), and new projects from Bombardier (Robert Burke) on digital simulation in aircraft assembly. It also led directly to an invited seminar to industry (NISP) on “Systems Engineering in the 21st Century”.
