Additional information

The book explores the interrelation of text, body and technology in performance. It reconsiders textual practices in contemporary performance focussing on the exciting exchange between writerly texts, body and technology. The collection offers an interrogation of diverse 'textualities': performance writing that is indebted to sensual 'writings of the body' in all manner of ways. The editorial process included accessing contributions from an international collection of highly renowned writers, performers, and academics. As well as shaping the agenda for the study and co-editing the book Broadhurst co-wrote the introduction and authored the chapter: ‘Digital practices: new writings of the body’.
