Additional information
<23>This paper extended the research reported in output 4 and explores inter-frame dependencies of multi-view systems to reduce the computational complexity of Multi-view Video Coders (MVC). The algorithm builds on a proven hypothesis that only fast-moving objects in any view tend to find their best matches in their neighbour views. The method also introduced a novel early reference termination and reduced the complexity of sub-pixel motion estimation and mode selection processes. The research was carried out under supervision as part of Abdelazim’s PhD.
