Additional information

We have proposed a new boundary-layer control concept, and demonstrated for the first time that turbulent skin-friction drag can be reduced by targeting the large-scale eddies. Unlike wall-based control techniques, our technique is easier and cheaper for airframe manufacturers to implement due to greater time scale and length scale of the control target.
