The software framework proposed in the output improves energy awareness within manufacturing by analysing streaming data. The research led to the development of energy monitoring, analysis and presentation tools by SAP (contact: Project Coordinator at SAP, http://www.sap.com/). These tools are being adopted by industry partners including Volvo (contact: Director at Volvo Group Trucks Technology). The paper enabled DMU to gain recognition for analysis of industrial energy, and has contributed to the successful FP7 proposal REEMAIN (608977) in which DMU will analyse energy at four sites prior to the development of energy modelling software for manufacturers.
