This research, in collaboration with Cardiff Business School and supported by Arthritis Research UK is the first example of the application of the CaRBS approach to hip biomechanics data. It has contributed to further developments in data classification for research projects across disciplines (such as health care and biosciences) and institutions (including Southampton University, presented at the British Orthopaedic Research Society Conference, 2012). Further development has been presented at an IMechE conference at The Royal College of Surgeons, 2011.
