Additional information

<22>Describes an e-drama system which allows interactive story telling and role playing and explores its use by school children to explore contentious and sensitive issues such as health. The system has also been used for e-learning and training e.g. for medical doctors and is the result of collaboration with three industrial partners, Hi8us, Maverick Television Ltd and BT Exact, under the PACCIT programme funded by the ESRC, EPSRC and DTI. The system is novel in that it is able to deal with both literal and figurative language and extends earlier research on HCI and NLP.
