Additional information
<19>This is the first piece of work that proposes a technique to isolate attack networks (botnets) based on the unique communication patterns arising from their fundamental properties.
This work demonstrates that botnet design involves a fundamental trade-off between resilience to ISP takedowns and stealth properties. Invited talk at more than six university departmental seminars. Basis of a prestigious fellowship and DARPA grant.
Novel graph-partitioning algorithm to separate graphs based on relative mixing-speed rather than min-cuts. Algorithms and security protocols were evaluated over real botnets in the wild.
