Additional information

<17>This paper describes our Chemical Molecular Diagram recogniser. We invented a number of novel techniques for sub-problems in this area (e.g. polyline recognition, stereoscopic bond recognition, superatom identification and embedding). The result is a system that won the TREC (http://trec.nist.gov/) competition for such recognisers in 2011 (950 out of 1000 diagrams correct in two runs). See http://trec.nist.gov/pubs/2010.economic.impact.pdf for a report

on the impact, and therefore standing of TREC). Our system is the leading Chemical Molecular Diagram recogniser in the world today.
