Additional information

<19>This paper won a best paper award at the conference. It describes the most efficient broadcast authentication mechanism for wireless sensor networks currently known. In the paper we estimate the times an implementation would need. We obtain efficiency gains up to a factor of 5 compared to previous implementations. This work has already been transferred by other researchers to devices with cryptographic hardware primitives and adapted to protect against a more powerful attacker which can actively manipulate the data of sensor nodes.
