<30> This paper is one of the research outcomes of the grant awarded by EPSRC, Grant No. GR/N11841, 2000-2003, PI: D Petrovic (£58,338). The project was assessed by EPSRC as ‘Tending to Outstanding’ and the research quality as ‘Tending to Internationally Leading’. The project was carried out in collaboration with J&J Cash, Ltd., Coventry. Mr D Halstead, the Manufacturing Director at the time, validated the results achieved in the project. This research in the area of supply chains has led to a new EPSRC funded project on supply chain risk management, EP/K031686/1, 2013-2016, total value for 4 academic collaborators: £1,243,563.26.
