This is a companion to Output 1. The significance of this research with Bison Concrete Products Ltd, is reflected in the interest generated amongst specialists within the field. Initially, the author was invited to IStructE (Institution of Structural Engineers) to present his research work at a meeting of the Joint Working Group on Stadia Dynamics (Dr JW Dougill, Chairman dougill@freenetname.co.uk). More recently, he was invited by NAFEMS (National Agency for Finite Element Methods and Standards) as an expert speaker (Organisers: C Brooks, Ramboll, carl.brooks@ramboll.co.uk & Prof. P Lyons, LUSAS, paul.lyons@lusas.com) at their workshop dedicated to numerical simulation of reinforced concrete.
