Additional information

Hidding contributed to experimental campaigns as well as to theoretical preparation and analysis. For example, he carried out simulations of the main diagnostics, i.e. the electron spectrometer which was used to measure the energy and divergence of the generated electron beams. The electron spectrometer was based on permanent magnets, and from experimental measurements and simulations of the magnetic field, Hidding calculated and analyzed electron trajectories which were crucial for determination of the electron beam qualities and their stability as reflected in the publication title. Hidding was the only representative for the University of Duesseldorf in this multi-institutional work.
