Correlations for droplet impact through a shearing air flow over a moving film are crucial in the development of models for cooling film heat transfer. This is the first paper to generate experimental data for this situation that feeds into model development which is on-going research, part of a larger collaboration with RR plc, Darius.Wania@Rolls-Royce.com
