Additional information

This is a key output of NERC grant NE/H010432/1 and the multi-partner “Energyscapes and Eco-system services” project awarded after the Land-based Renewables Programme “sandpit” event, for which Lord was PI for his university. In addition to defining a new term and concept, “energyscape”, it provides a transferrable mechanism for stakeholder engagement and evaluating differing perspectives in the balance between a (potentially controversial?) renewable energy development and ecosystem service provision. The work has already been applied to a proposed energy-from-waste plant in Bedfordshire (http://mmetag.wordpress.com/2011/04/05/mmag-attends-energyscapes-and-ecosystem-services-workshop/).
