Investigation of the parameters controlling the crest settlement of a major earthfill dam based on the threshold correlation analysis

This study won the best young researcher's paper (TOPCON award) at the 13th FIG Symposium on Deformation measurements, Lisbon 2008. At the conference it was favourably commented on by highly regarded participants in the field of geodesy: e.g. Prof Roberts, (Professor of Geospatial Engineering, University of Nottingham Ningbo campus, China, gethin.roberts@nottingham.ac.uk). Prof Rizos (Professor in Geodesy and Navigation, at the University of New South Wales, Australia, c.rizos@unsw.edu.au) is editor-in-chief of the Journal of Applied Geodesy and he liked the work so much that he invited me and my co-author to submit this study for publication in this journal.
