Additional information

<19> First to realize an autonomous anonymous credential system on a standard Java Card. It was orders of magnitude faster than previous proposals. Recognized, e.g. by the Handbook of eID Security (2011), as the first feasibility proof for these systems, it won the 2009 Innovation Award of the German Association for Computer Science and influenced further research in industry and academia (EU FP7 IPs ABC4Trust and FutureID, contact Jan Camenisch, jca@zurich.ibm.com), in national eID systems and privacy-preserving smart metering. It led to international press coverage, interviews and invited talks in Belgium, Germany and Switzerland.
