Additional information

<20> This paper was accepted for Chi 2013 (20% acceptance rate) receiving an honourable mention (top 5% of submissions). It further develops methods for human-centred computing research described in Wright and McCarthy’s (2010) Experience-Centred Design (Morgan Claypool). The work reports a prolonged engagement with the Angelou Centre (Newcastle). The research led to the participatory design of new social media sensitive to the difficult circumstances of women surviving domestic abuse. The collaboration led to small grants for the Angelou Centre (Heritage Lottery funding) and collaborations with the Creative Exchange hub, further extending the impact of the work.
