Additional information

Grimaldi supervised the conservation treatment, studio and technical examination of the paintings and initially proposed the investigation into the factors causing the deterioration of the paintings in order to find strategies for treatment. Dr Brian Singer was responsible for carrying out the scientific analysis on materials removed from the paintings and assisting in the interpretation of those materials, and also in providing analytical and technical data on Aquazol. Ebert provided studio and lab assistance.
