Additional information

Using improved biocompatible microsensor arrays, in collaboration with DSTL, we demonstrated for the first time that binding of protective antigen from B. anthracis to cell surface receptor CMG-2 leads to activation of inducible nitric oxide synthase. The publication contributed to an invitation to Taiwan, funded by the RoC government, to deliver 4 research presentations and an 18-hour lecture course at Kaohsiung National University’s Department of Chemical Engineering. The work was also presented at an invited keynote talk at Sensors in Medicine 2013.
