Double-weighted statement

This monograph explores the efforts of both Republican and Democratic administrations to channel federal money to "faith-based" foreign aid, health care, education, and social welfare organizations. The book is the fruit of a ten-year research project, which required extended visits to the US in order to research a diverse range of primary sources that were for the most part unorganised and uncatalogued. Its effort to question much of the conventional wisdom about the religious Right and its relationship to the Cold War state also required analysis of large amounts of secondary literature.
